A medical convoy for the people of Minya as part of the “New Beginning for Building Humanity” initiative, in collaboration between Horus Hospital and the Egypt Library

As part of the president’s human development initiative, “New Beginning for Building Humanity,” Horus Hospital, affiliated with the Coptic Evangelical Organization, organized a medical convoy in collaboration with the Egypt Library in Minya. The convoy served more than 100 families in Minya Governorate, offering eye exams and vision protection services to promote public health and improve quality of life for local residents.

Dr. Momtaz Thabet, Director of Horus Hospital, emphasized the convoy’s importance in meeting citizens’ needs, stating, “This convoy was organized under the guidance of Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki, President of the Evangelical Community in Egypt and Head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, to provide necessary exams and raise awareness on the importance of eye health care. We believe that community health is the foundation of development, and we will continue our efforts to deliver more health services to the people of Minya, contributing to the prosperity and progress of Egypt.”

Dr. Amal Mohamed Tawfik, Director General of Egypt Library, expressed her satisfaction with the collaboration, noting that the convoy operates under the patronage of Major General Emad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, and reflects the commitment of civil society organizations to provide essential health services to citizens. She added, “Through these initiatives, we aim to provide health support to the people of Minya, which we consider an important step toward enhancing public health and promoting health awareness within the community.”

The convoy will continue to provide services to the people of Minya, contributing to the objectives of the presidential initiative and reflecting the productive collaboration among civil society organizations in the governorate.
