The Coptic Evangelical Organization Organizes a Meeting Bringing Together Its International and Local Partners to Discuss Shared Development Issues
The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS) organized a high-level meeting at its headquarters, attended by Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki, Head of the Evangelical Denomination in Egypt and President of CEOSS. The meeting brought together the Organization’s key international partners—representing several European countries, the United States, and Canada—alongside local partners from national and international institutions operating in Egypt.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), in addition to Alfi Foundation, Nawayaa Foundation, Bless Foundation, Caritas Egypt, the Atta’a Fund, the “Able with Difference” Initiative, and a number of development bodies and civil society organizations.
This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise between local and international partners, and discussing shared issues in the fields of development and human rights, in a manner that supports national efforts and contributes to achieving sustainable development.
The meeting featured a number of specialized interventions, with contributions from Dr. Medhat Nafea, Chairman of Metalom Holding Company; Dr. Howayda Barakat, Regional Academic Partnerships Manager at the University of East London; Ms. Samira Louka, Director of the Dialogue Sector and member of the National Council for Human Rights; and Ms. Suzanne Sedky, Director of Local Development for Upper Egypt. The session was moderated by Mr. Michael El-Dabaa, Head of the Investment Sector at CEOSS.
This meeting is part of the international partnership activities organized by the Organization in conjunction with its celebration of the Diamond Jubilee marking seventy-five years since its establishment. These activities also included a visit by the Head of the Evangelical Denomination and the international delegation to the Egyptian House of Representatives in the New Administrative Capital, underscoring the Organization’s leading role in supporting dialogue and strengthening cooperation between civil society institutions and legislative and development institutions in Egypt.
