“Egyptian Women’s Day”.. A Seminar by the National Council for Women at the Coptic Evangelical Organization with the Presence of the Evangelical Community Leader and the Council President

Seminar Details:

The National Council for Women, in collaboration with the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, organized the “Egyptian Women’s Day” seminar today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Evangelical Organization.

The event was attended by:

  • Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki, President of the Evangelical Community in Egypt and Head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization.

  • Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women.

  • A large number of council and organization leaders, religious figures, members of the National Council for Women, and members of the Board of Directors of the Coptic Evangelical Organization.


Speaker Remarks:

Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki expressed his happiness at the presence of Counselor Amal Ammar, congratulating her on her new position and praising the National Council for Women for its role in enhancing the status of Egyptian women. He emphasized the Evangelical Organization’s role in supporting the most vulnerable families, highlighting that the gathering reflects the values of love and unity among all Egyptians.

On her part, Counselor Amal Ammar underscored the importance of cooperation between national institutions in addressing women’s issues. She affirmed the National Council for Women’s commitment to training and empowering women economically and socially. She also praised the Evangelical Organization’s active role in improving the status of Egyptian women and supporting the state’s vision for sustainable development and gender equality.

The seminar featured rich discussion sessions with the participation of distinguished experts, including:

  • Rev. Antonios, Representative of the Orthodox Church.

  • Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Assistant Head of the Religious Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Endowments.

  • Dr. Nesreen El-Baghdadi, Vice President of the National Council for Women.

  • Ms. Samira Louka, Senior Head of Dialogue Sector at the Evangelical Organization.

  • Dr. Suzanne Kalini and Dr. Marianne Azer, members of the National Council for Women.


Closing of the Seminar:

The event concluded with an open discussion session, allowing attendees to exchange views on the challenges facing Egyptian women and possible solutions. The discussion reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between national institutions and civil society to achieve genuine women’s empowerment and enhance their role in sustainable development and active citizenship.
