Honoring Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki during the “Mawaddah” Celebration: The Role of Evangelical Activity in Promoting Egypt’s Soft Values.

Minister of Social Solidarity during the honoring of Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki during the “Mawaddah” celebration: Evangelical activity is one of the most important pillars of Egypt’s soft power on religious, cultural, and social levels. Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki was honored at the “Mawaddah” initiative celebration in the presence of the Grand Mufti of Egypt and the Minister of Social Solidarity.

Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki, head of the Evangelical community in Egypt and president of the Evangelical Coptic Authority for Social Services, participated in the launching ceremony of the training guide for the inclusive “Mawaddah” initiative for people with disabilities, under the patronage and presence of Dr. Nevine El-Kabbaj, the Minister of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation on behalf of the German government, with joint funding from the European Union. The event was also attended by His Eminence Professor Dr. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, representatives from the German government and the European Union, as well as several religious leaders and civil society leaders.

During the celebration, Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki was honored with a shield of appreciation for the role played by the Evangelical Coptic Authority for Social Services and the Evangelical community in Egypt. In her speech at the event, Dr. Nevine El-Kabbaj welcomed all the guests and partners, expressing her pride in honoring the head of the Evangelical community in Egypt. She emphasized that the evangelical activity represents one of the most important pillars of Egypt’s soft power at the religious, cultural, and social levels through the activities of the Evangelical Coptic Authority and the Evangelical community in Egypt.

Furthermore, El-Kabbaj mentioned that the Ministry of Social Solidarity has launched a new initiative as part of the national project to preserve the Egyptian family entity called “Mawaddah.” This initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to continue supporting and empowering its citizens for their future and ensuring their right to start a family. It aims to inform them about the foundations of building stable families and how to preserve them from various challenges, thereby raising awareness among them.

Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki, the head of the Evangelical community, expressed his great joy at the honor bestowed by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Dr. Nevine El-Kabbaj, and the participation of Grand Mufti Dr. Shawki Allam, along with all the representatives of the participating entities. Zaki stated, “I am greatly pleased with today’s honor, and I deeply value the joint national work within the Egyptian society with the Ministry of Social Solidarity through the Evangelical Coptic Authority and the Evangelical community in Egypt. I extend my sincere thanks to Dr. Nevine El-Kabbaj, the Minister of Social Solidarity, for her national and influential role and her evident efforts in preserving the Egyptian family entity.”

It is worth mentioning that the Cultural Dialogue Forum at the Evangelical Coptic Authority for Social Services engages a large number of religious leaders in the national project for preserving the Egyptian family entity.
