Practical field training for Nahda University students in Beni Suef
As part of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services’ efforts to empower youth and prepare them for the labor market, a hands-on training program was implemented in coordination between Itsa Wood Furniture Factory (affiliated with the Organization) and the Faculty of Fine Arts – Department of Interior Design at Nahda University in Beni Suef. Three students participated in the program, completing a total of 50 training hours.
The training aimed to introduce students to all stages of furniture production — starting from technical drawing and professional dimension measurement, through learning about the tools used in the different manufacturing phases, to producing scaled models and working with various types of paints and finishing techniques to achieve the final product.
The training period was marked by the students’ commitment and active participation, which contributed to maximizing the benefits within the limited time frame. The collaboration of the Faculty of Fine Arts – Interior Design Department also played a key role in the success of the experience.
This initiative is part of the Organization’s experiential training program, which aims to provide young people with a realistic work environment to help them acquire practical skills and experience in preparation for entering the job market
