Head of the Evangelical Community Receives the Governor of Assiut to Discuss a Number of Joint Projects

Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki, Head of the Evangelical Community in Egypt, received Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, to discuss and review a number of joint development projects, on Friday, in the presence of Mr. Momtaz Beshay, Vice President of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, along with several leaders of the organization.

During the meeting, the Head of the Evangelical Community welcomed the Governor of Assiut, expressing his appreciation for the visit and emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnerships between state institutions and civil society organizations in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development and improving citizens’ quality of life. Several leaders of the organization also presented its activities and programs, including the “Ezraa” initiative implemented by the Coptic Evangelical Organization, and its role in supporting smallholder farmers, in addition to a number of small enterprise programs aimed at improving livelihoods and economically empowering families—particularly in Upper Egypt governorates, with a special focus on Assiut.

For his part, Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, praised the national and developmental role played by the Evangelical Community and the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, commending their contributions to supporting the state’s development efforts. He stressed the importance of continued joint cooperation to implement effective development projects that serve citizens and enhance stability and development in the governorate.
