“Empowered Girls… Their Voice is Strength!”
The Local Development Unit at the Coptic Evangelical Organization celebrated the International Day of the Girl as part of the Economic and Social Empowerment Program for Girls in Upper Egypt, in collaboration with the Nidaa Foundation and funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
A total of 106 girls participated in the celebration, which featured artistic activities, handicraft workshops, and interactive theater aimed at raising awareness of their social and economic rights and sharing their success stories.
The celebration also included representatives from government bodies, the National Council for Women, the Upper Egypt Girls’ Forum, and the Peer Education Network, alongside local association partners from the communities of Naway, Abiouha, Beni Ahmed, and Al-Amoudain, all working to enhance the role of girls and empower them within their communities.
