Signing of a Cooperation Protocol between the Coptic Evangelical Organization and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities

Today, Monday, witnessed the execution of the signing ceremony of a joint cooperation protocol between the Local Development Unit of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, a member of the National Coalition for Developmental Civil Work, and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Margret Sarofim, Head of the Local Development Sector at the Coptic Evangelical Organization, and Dr. Eman Kareem, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities

This protocol aims to enhance efforts and collaborative work to empower persons with disabilities, improve their quality of life, activate their integration into society, and ensure their access to rights and services fairly and equally without discrimination. This protocol is in line with international, regional, and national guidelines, such as the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Sustainable Development Goals, and Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy.

After the signing of the protocol, both parties expressed their happiness and positive outlook towards serving persons with disabilities and their families. It was agreed to form a joint executive committee from both sides to develop an executive action plan for implementing the protocol on the ground as soon as possible

On behalf of Dr. Rev. Andre Zaki, the President of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, Ms. Margret Sarofim, Head of the Local Development Sector, signed the protocol. Representing the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Eman Kareem, the General Supervisor of the Council, also signed the protocol. This took place in the presence of a delegation from the leadership of both the Council and the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services.
