The Local Development Unit of the Evangelical Coptic Authority participated in the “Sitar Wa Afya” (Protection and Wellbeing) caravan organized by the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work in the village of Al-Kufur, affiliated with the Kom Ombo district in Aswan Governorate. During this caravan, the unit organized several important activities:
Distribution of 40 wheelchairs for people with disabilities, along with holding an awareness seminar for them and their families about the services provided by the state for this important segment of society.
Implementation of an eye care caravan providing screening services for 100 citizens, and distributing 40 prescription eyeglasses to those in need.
Conducting an awareness seminar about entrepreneurship and promoting a culture of self-employment for 30 young people from the village.
Organizing entertainment activities for 400 children through a special carnival for the village’s children, aimed at entertaining them and enhancing their social skills.
These activities reflect the commitment of the Local Development Unit to support the community and improve the quality of life for individuals within it. They also highlight the role of the Evangelical Coptic Authority in serving the needy and local communities.
