The ‘Sofaraa El Mowatana’ initiative aims to raise awareness about the values of citizenship, belonging, and positive participation. It was carried out by the youth of Beni Suef University and participants from the forum. The initiative was held under the patronage and presence of Professor Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and Dr. Sameh El Maraghy, Vice President of the University for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, along with faculty members and assistants. Approximately 300 students from the faculties of Education, Arts, Law, Physical Education, and Applied Arts participated, in addition to scout groups and the student union.
The initiative included a variety of activities, including an intellectual discussion about the foundations of citizenship, its applications, and the challenges young people face in practicing it. This session witnessed a positive dialogue and interaction among the participating students. The initiative also featured sports and artistic activities designed and executed to reinforce the initiative’s values through art and sports. The students created a mural titled “Citizenship Ambassadors” on the university walls, and both male and female students participated in various sports leagues and competitions.
