The Evangelical Organization participates in the Civil Society Grants Ceremony in the presence of Dr. Nevin el-Kabbaj , Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity, and the President of the German Development Cooperation.

The Evangelical Organization for Social Services participated in the activities of the grants signing ceremony for civil society associations and organizations. The event was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Nevine El-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Mr. Holger Eilts, Head of German Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in Egypt, and Mr. Mamtaz Beshay, Vice President of the Evangelical Organization for Social Services. During the celebration, 38 community projects were signed with 16 non-governmental organizations, including the Evangelical Organization for Social Services, represented by Mr. Mamtaz Beshay, Vice President of the organization. This is part of the implementation of the Equal Opportunities and Social Development project carried out by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity. Margaret Sarofim, Head of the Local Development Sector at the Evangelical Organization for Social Services, stated that the organization is working on this project in 5 governorates and with 6 grassroots associations (Port Said, Dakahlia, Cairo, Fayoum, Sohag). The projects focus on community participation and gender equality, including fair and effective representation of persons with disabilities and women. These initiatives aim to reach 6,285 beneficiaries through partnerships and cooperation with grassroots associations and relevant government agencies, including the Ministries of Social Solidarity, Youth and Sports, Health, and the National Council for Women, among others.
