Under this slogan, the Cultural Dialogue Forum of the Evangelical Coptic Authority, in collaboration with 26 civil associations, organizes a series of youth events to support the culture of volunteering and positive participation in six governorates: Alexandria – Beni Suef – Minya – Assiut – Qena – Aswan. Ms. Samira Luca, Head of the Dialogue Sector at the Authority, stated that youth are the pillar of change in society, and encouraging them to participate and volunteer is a national role in building the new republic.
These events are part of the preparations for the grand celebration organized by the forum, targeting 1500 young people in the six governorates to celebrate International Volunteer Day on December 5.
Qena Governorate: The Cultural Dialogue Forum of the Evangelical Coptic Authority held an extensive dialogue session in Qena as part of the “Participate… Volunteer… Leave a Footprint” initiative to celebrate International Volunteer Day. 150 young men and women participated in the dialogue, attended by several leaders of the governorate, including Deputy Najla Bakhoum. The events included a theatrical presentation on participation, recycling workshops, and competitions for traditional games.
Assiut Governorate: The “Participate… Volunteer… Leave a Footprint” initiative kicked off in Assiut with the participation of 150 young men and women. The activities included a theatrical presentation on participation, volunteer training, and discussions with youth about the importance of positive participation. The events concluded with an awareness campaign on the importance of participation.
Minya Governorate: In Minya, the “Participate… Volunteer… Leave a Footprint” initiative included a dialogue session and mural about volunteering, recycling workshops, and scouting presentations about the history of Egyptian science for 100 young people. During these events, the Volunteer Dialogue Network was launched, establishing 26 volunteer units in various governorates.
Beni Suef Governorate: The focus in Beni Suef was on encouraging the culture of volunteering, participation, and social responsibility among 150 young men and women. The activities included a sports camp for youth as part of the celebration of International Volunteer Day.
Alexandria Governorate: The “Participate… Volunteer… Leave a Footprint” initiative in Alexandria included discussions about volunteering and participation for 100 young men and women, followed by presentations of models and experiences from volunteers. The events concluded with scouting displays.
Aswan Governorate: The “Participate… Volunteer… Leave a Footprint” initiative in Aswan concluded with training for volunteers, artistic workshops, games, theatrical performances, and discussion sessions for 120 young men and women.
At the end of the initiative’s events, the Volunteer Dialogue Network was launched, establishing 26 volunteer units in 26 partner associations in different governorates to support citizenship and dialogue issues. The journey of volunteering continues… Don’t miss the opportunity and leave your mark.
