The Coptic Evangelical Organization Participates in the Event “Palestinian Displacement Is a Red Line” at the Rafah Border Crossing
The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services participated in the national event titled “Palestinian Displacement Is a Red Line… No to Displacement,” held at the Rafah Border Crossing under the umbrella of the National Alliance for Civil and Developmental Work.
A delegation of 50 volunteers from various communities within the organization’s network took part in the event, expressing a firm rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinian brothers and sisters and supporting their legitimate right to remain on their land and in their homeland.
This stance aligns with the consistent position of the Evangelical Community in Egypt, led by Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki, who previously issued an official statement rejecting any proposals for the displacement of Palestinians. The statement emphasized that such ideas violate the principles of international and humanitarian law and contradict the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. It also praised Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting solutions that fail to bring justice and stability to the region.
The Coptic Evangelical Organization stated that its participation in this event stems from its societal and humanitarian commitment to supporting just causes and rejecting any violations of people’s rights. The organization stressed the importance of joint efforts to protect Palestinian rights and support all initiatives aimed at achieving comprehensive and just peace.
