About the project:
The project was launched in January 2022 with the aim of contributing to building a democratic society that supports human rights, pluralism, inclusiveness, and tolerance. It aims to increase the capacity of 200 young leaders from local communities in Cairo, Alexandria, Minya, and Assiut to promote and practice tolerance, coexistence, and active citizenship in their communities.
This select group of young people was chosen from various fields, including religious leaders (Muslim and Christian), media professionals, teachers, and civil society leaders. The project also ensured gender-balanced representation, with no less than 30% of the participants being women.
