“Enhancing Financial Inclusion for Women with Disabilities: A Pillar for Empowerment and Independence”

“In the context of supporting and empowering women with disabilities, the Evangelical Coptic Authority for Social Services, through its Local Development Unit, organized an event titled ‘Women with Disabilities, Their Families, and Financial Inclusion.’

The event discussed the concept of financial inclusion and its importance in providing financial services to all segments of society, with quality and affordable costs, through the official channels provided by the state. The aim was to empower women with disabilities and their families to manage their finances effectively. The significance of this type of empowerment in reducing instances of violence and theft risks was emphasized.

During the event, awareness was raised about the available financial services in banks, and an understanding and analysis of consumer behavior and consumption patterns were provided. Discussions also revolved around the developments in consumer financing through modern applications. Additionally, there was dialogue and interaction regarding the challenges that people with disabilities might face when dealing with banks, and exploring suitable solutions to overcome these challenges and facilitate their financial transactions more effectively.”
