In the context of the activities of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the Local Development Unit of the Evangelical Coptic Authority, in collaboration with the Basma Creativity Association in the Khalifa community, organized a program for the development of early childhood and the protection of children at risk. The event included an interactive workshop with the participation of about 50 male and female students from Al-Mohammadia School and Al-Helmeya Experimental School in the Khalifa neighborhood. The workshop addressed topics related to the forms of violence, abuse, and harassment experienced by girls, and how to confront them. It also discussed positive practices that can be adopted to address such behaviors, which may cause physical and psychological harm to girls. The focus was on introducing the Child Rescue Line 16000 and how to report when female students encounter similar problems, in addition to emphasizing the importance of reporting to families. Representatives from the Protection Committee in the Khalifa neighborhood participated in the meeting.
