Dr. Reverend Andre Zaki, the head of the Evangelical community in Egypt and the president of the Coptic Evangelical Authority for Social Services, met with Dr. Nevine El-Kabbag, the Minister of Social Solidarity, at the ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital. The meeting discussed various projects related to university accessibility, economic empowerment, citizenship enhancement programs, dialogue, and coexistence. The discussion included the participation of a delegation from the Coptic Evangelical Authority and leadership from the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Reverend Andre Zaki expressed his great pleasure at meeting with Ms. Nevine El-Kabbag and visiting the new headquarters of the ministry in the administrative capital. He affirmed that the Egyptian state is working earnestly in all directions, putting significant effort into social protection for the most vulnerable Egyptians. He added that the Ministry of Social Solidarity is making tangible efforts in various developmental programs, capable of communicating and influencing local communities, bringing about real change in the lives of Egyptians.

The head of the Evangelical community emphasized that the directives from the national political leadership aim to provide continuous support to families prioritized for care. On her part, the Minister of Social Solidarity welcomed the head of the Evangelical Authority and the accompanying delegation, expressing her joy at the visit. She confirmed the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s pride in the developmental history of the Coptic Evangelical Authority and its influential national role in Egyptian communities. She added, “The Ministry of Social Solidarity is keen on social and economic empowerment, working towards providing small, micro projects that can benefit families in improving their economic status. The political leadership places significant emphasis on social protection programs to provide essential services to the most needy areas.

The meeting was attended by a delegation from the Evangelical Authority and leaders from the Ministry of Social Solidarity. In attendance were Ayman Abdel Moghawad, Assistant Minister for Non-Governmental Organizations, Maha Hefnawy, Head of the Central Administration for Supporting Civil Society Organizations, and other key figures from both sides.
It’s worth noting that the Evangelical Coptic Authority for Social Services, led by Dr. Reverend Andre Zaki, the head of the Evangelical community in Egypt, is one of the Egyptian civil society organizations. Since its establishment in 1950 until today, it has shown great interest in humanity regardless of color, gender, or creed. The organization centers its mission around improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable citizens, prioritizing care in the Egyptian society.
