Mrs. Margrit Saroufim, the local development director at CEOSS, expounds the goals of the “Izraa” (Plant) initiative, which include:
- Improving the income of hundreds of thousands of small farmers by increasing their production
- Providing strategic crops to achieve food security
- Reducing the import bill and increasing the ability of small farmers to confront and adapt to climate changes
- Seeking to preserve natural resources and avoid wasting them
