Head of CEOSS: Dar El Thaqafa of CEOSS participates in the book fair to promote awareness and build the Egyptian character
Dar El Thaqafa Communication House, affiliated to the Coptic Evangelical Organization, is participated in the Cairo International Book Fair, which was held from January 27th to February 6th, with important publications in several fields: societal, psychological, theological and biblical.
Rev.Dr. Andrea Zaki, head of the Evangelical community in Egypt, and head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, stressed that “the organization is keen to participate in this cultural occasion through Dar El Thaqafa, with a set of publications aimed at providing enlightened thought,” stressing that “the organization is keen to promote reading and knowledge as part of its mission to build awareness,” noting that “the holding of the exhibition is a strong message that the Egyptian state seeks to promote a culture of reading, and knowledge building.”
Amani Latif, director of Dar El Thaqafa, said, “This year, Dar El Thaqafa was keen to select a group of important books that deal with contemporary societal issues of the psychological, social and theological fields … and other issues. One of the most important books issued this year is “I believe,” by the well-known writer C.S. Lewis, and the book “Rebel from the South,” which examines the thought of Martin Luther King. We also published the book “100 Problematics in Genesis,” the book “Basic Principles of the Christian Religion” by the great writer John Stott, and the book “Do Evangelists Fast?”.
