Cultural Dialogue Forum Launches “Community Leadership” Program to Promote Social Cohesion and Sustainable Development

The Cultural Dialogue Forum of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS) launched the “Community Leadership for Social Cohesion and Sustainable Development” program to prepare community leaders to engage in constructive dialogue, respond to issues affecting their communities, and help address local challenges.

The program gives participants opportunities to learn, engage in dialogue, and exchange experiences. It aims to raise awareness and develop practical skills in effective dialogue, leadership, management, citizenship, and promoting social cohesion. These skills will help participants better understand and address the issues facing their communities.

The program opened with a needs assessment workshop at the CEOSS headquarters in Cairo, bringing together representatives from Greater Cairo and the governorates of Minya and Alexandria.

During the workshop, participants discussed the main issues and challenges facing their communities. Their discussions helped identify the needs and priorities that will guide the next stages of the program, reflecting participants’ perspectives and the needs of their communities.

The workshop also produced a series of short videos on issues discussed by the working groups. The videos captured participants’ perspectives on local challenges and priorities.

The program is part of the Cultural Dialogue Forum’s efforts to help community leaders bring about positive change and encourage a culture of dialogue and active participation that supports social cohesion and sustainable development.
