The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services Honored during the “Ahl El-Kheir 2” Celebration in Recognition of Its Outstanding Role

The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services participated in the “Ahl El-Kheir 2” celebration, organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity at Al Manara International Conference Center, in the presence of Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity; Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment; Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf; Eng. Alaa El-Din Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation; Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo; Eng. Marguerite Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity; Mr. Ayman Abdel Mawgoud, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity; representatives of civil society associations and institutions; and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The celebration witnessed the honoring of a number of partner entities for their support of the food provision system and their efforts to enhance social protection. The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services was honored in recognition of its active role in supporting solidarity initiatives and civil society work. The shield of honor was received by Ms. Suzan Sedky, Director of Local Development at CEOSS.
For his part, Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Protestant Churches of Egypt and President of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, expressed his happiness with this recognition, which reflects the Egyptian state’s appreciation, represented by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, for the national role played by civil society institutions. He affirmed that the partnership between the state and civil society has become a successful model in supporting comprehensive development efforts.
This honor comes in recognition of CEOSS’s contributions as a key development partner in supporting vulnerable groups, as well as its ongoing participation in implementing food provision and community development initiatives within the “Ahl El-Kheir” system, which has achieved a wide impact across various governorates of Egypt.
