The Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS) participated in a coordination meeting held at the Ministry of Social Solidarity headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to review the achievements of the Family and Child Development Centers in Sohag and Beheira governorates, which the National Alliance for Civil Development Work assigned CEOSS to operate.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Margaret Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity; Mr. Hatem Metwally, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work; along with a number of Alliance leaders and representatives from the Ministries of Social Solidarity, Local Development, and Education, as well as representatives of civil society organizations partnering in the project.
Participants reviewed the progress achieved at the Family and Child Development Centers and discussed a set of decisions and recommendations aimed at supporting their work and strengthening their impact during the coming year.
In parallel, CEOSS is preparing to welcome the new academic year at the centers under its management, with plans to open 10 nursery and kindergarten classes, representing a 100% increase compared with the previous year.
CEOSS has completed the necessary preparations ahead of the start of classes, including cleaning and sanitizing the buildings, preparing educational materials, and providing games and equipment for sports and recreational activities.
Plans are also underway to organize a celebration marking the beginning of the first academic term at the centers.
These efforts reflect a model of integration between government institutions and civil society and highlight the importance of coordinated planning and implementation among development partners to provide more effective services to local communities.
