Launching the first phase of housing rehabilitation for vulnerable families in Minya
As part of the mission of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services to improve the quality of life for individuals and families and enhance their opportunities for dignified living, the Housing Program comes as one of the effective development tools to empower low-income families to sustainably improve their housing environment and ensure a safe and healthy home that preserves their dignity and meets their basic needs.
In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Middle East – Egypt Office, the project for rehabilitating and upgrading the homes of vulnerable families in Minya Governorate is being implemented. The initiative aims to enable 40 families to improve their housing conditions so that their homes become healthy, safe, and aligned with adequate housing standards.
The first phase of the project has begun in the community of El-Roubi, where work is underway to demolish, rebuild, and finish five houses for vulnerable families, as an initial step toward achieving the broader goal of the initiative: providing decent housing that guarantees a better life for beneficiary families.
