“The Evangelical Authority’s Intensive Activity in the ‘Plant’ Initiative with Over 5000 Farmers in 16 Governorates”

Under the umbrella of the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work, the Evangelical Authority conducted an intensive activity to support over 5000 farmers in the “Plant” initiative across 16 different governorates. These distinguished activities were carried out in the following governorates: Giza, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Sharkia, Beheira, Ismailia, Qalyubia, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and New Valley.

The activity was aimed at providing technical support and raising awareness among farmers regarding wheat cultivation, in addition to offering technical support to increase the productivity of farmland and solve the problems they face to preserve crops. Several veterinary caravans were also implemented to examine and treat cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, and poultry. These services included surgeries, reproductive care, internal treatments, as well as spraying and deworming operations for livestock.

In her statement, Ms. Margret Sarofim, Head of the Local Development Sector at the Evangelical Authority, said, “We are committed to providing technical support and raising awareness for farmers in the ‘Plant’ initiative in all initiative governorates, especially concerning irrigation, fertilization, and disease prevention, with the aim of improving productivity and preserving wheat crops.”
