Training workshop in Sohag as part of the activities of the 16 Days of Activism Against Violence: Enhancing awareness about gender-based violence issues.

On the sidelines of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the Local Development Unit of the Evangelical Coptic Authority organized an interactive training workshop in Sohag. Thirty individuals from various sectors participated, including representatives from civil society, endowments, youth and sports directorates, local units, women’s cadres, and natural leaders.

In the context of shedding light on violence against girls and women, the workshop highlighted mechanisms that support equality and equal opportunities to promote a culture of gender integration. Participants actively engaged in the workshop, benefiting in their respective areas of expertise, whether from civil society organizations, religious institutions, or government entities.

This workshop is part of the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), which implements, on behalf of the German government, a project on Equal Opportunities and Social Development funded jointly by the European Union.
