Dr. Reverend Andrea Zaki, the CEOSS’ president in Egypt and the head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, received His Excellency Ambassador Frank Hartmann, the German Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, today, Wednesday.
The Evangelical President welcomed the German Ambassador and provided a brief overview of the Evangelical Church’s activities, which include 150 local churches across all governorates of the Republic. These activities encompass church openings, renovations, ordinations, and the appointment of new pastors and priests. The leadership of the Evangelical Organization also highlighted the latest activities of its various units and sectors and their role in cultural dialogue at the local, regional, and international levels, as well as their participation in all presidential initiatives and the National Alliance for Civil and Developmental Work.
In his speech, the Evangelical President stated, “We contribute with all our energy and long experience to serve the Egyptians, and we are proud to work with the National Alliance. The Egyptian state is making a huge and sincere effort to address the challenging economic issues.”
In turn, Frank Hartmann praised the role of the Evangelical Organization and its outstanding developmental activities in serving Egyptians in various important areas. He also affirmed that “the Egyptian state is working diligently to improve the services provided to its citizens.”
Participating in the meeting from the leadership of the Coptic Evangelical Organization were Mr. Mamtaz Beshai, Vice President of the Evangelical Organization; Mrs. Samira Luqa, Head of the First Sector for Dialogue at the Evangelical Organization; Mr. Emad Banoub, Head of the Media Sector; Mrs. Margaret Sarofim, Head of the Local Development Sector; Mr. Michael El-Dab’, Head of the Finance and Investment Sector; and Sheikh Essam Wasef, Director of Public Relations.
