A historic visit to strengthen cooperation between the Coptic Evangelical Organization and the American ASHA Foundation to support development in Egypt.

Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Evangelical Church and Head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, welcomed Mr. Raymond Jennings, Director of the American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) initiative, for a tour that included the activities of the Coptic Evangelical Organization and the schools of the General Secretariat of the Nile Synod Evangelical Educational Institutions.

Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki expressed his appreciation for the partnership with ASHA and its role in supporting community development efforts, noting that the Evangelical Church’s and the Coptic Evangelical Organization’s commitment to promoting education, health, and community dialogue is a fundamental pillar for building an advanced society. He also expressed pride in the ongoing collaboration between the two organizations.

The tour began in Minya Governorate, where Mr. Raymond visited Horus Hospital and learned about the health services provided by the organization. He also participated in activities of the Local Development Unit, which serves the most needy families, and met with participants in the Cultural Dialogue Forum to exchange views on the role of dialogue in enhancing community understanding. Mr. Jennings praised the impact of the organization’s projects in strengthening the cohesion of Egyptian society.

The guest then moved to Cairo, where he visited Ramses Schools and New Ramses Schools, meeting with the leadership of the General Secretariat of the Nile Synod Evangelical, including Rev. Dr. Stefanos Zaki, Rev. Dr. Magid Karam, Dr. Freddy El-Bayadi, Ms. Hala Touma, and Dr. Mona Makram Ebeid. He expressed admiration for the level of students, emphasizing that their passion for education promises a bright future for Egypt.

The tour concluded with a visit to the headquarters of the Coptic Evangelical Organization, where Mr. Jennings met with its leaders, expressing his appreciation for the trust the organization’s work enjoys in Egyptian society, stating, “I am impressed by the Coptic Evangelical Organization’s efforts in providing outstanding services to the community, and I am happy with this fruitful cooperation
