Dr. Andre Zaki, the head of the Evangelical community in Egypt and the head of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, participated in the “Shoulder to Shoulder” initiative of the National Alliance for Civic and Development Work on Friday. The initiative, which was organized by the National Alliance for Civic and Development Work, is the largest charity event in Egypt and was attended by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly at Cairo International Stadium, with the participation of 300,000 volunteers from civil society organizations. The initiative aims to distribute more than six million boxes of foodstuffs to the neediest families in all governorates of the country.

The head of the Evangelical community in Egypt stated that the “Shoulder to Shoulder” initiative is a great charity event for Egyptians, and it reflects the vision of the National Alliance for Civic and Development Work, which is directed by President El-Sisi and followed up by the Egyptian government to achieve direct support and social protection for the neediest Egyptians. He added that the President’s words today emphasize the value of volunteer work and social responsibility, and the magnitude of the efforts made in 17 governorates across Egypt to distribute foodstuffs to six million Egyptian families with the help of 300,000 volunteers, which is an unprecedented and great patriotic scene.

The National Alliance for Civic and Development Work is a gathering of the largest charitable and social organizations to combine efforts and expand the scope of development and charitable work under the supervision and follow-up of the state to ensure that the right reaches those who deserve it and to spread goodness to our people in the most needy villages. The alliance was launched under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the Egyptian Family Iftar ceremony in Ramadan 2022 to provide support and protection to millions of families, with support from the Egyptian government.
