“The meeting began with a warm welcome to Her Excellency Ambassador Hiro Mustafa and the accompanying delegation. Welcoming them were the leadership of the Evangelical Coptic Organization, including Ms. Sameera Luqa, Head of the First Line Dialogue Sector, and Ms. Margret Sarofim, Head of the Local Development Sector. Also present were leaders from the Nidaa Foundation, including Dr. Heba Handousa, the founding director, and Mr. Ramy Hassan, the program director. The activities of the Evangelical Organization and the Nidaa Foundation were presented, followed by an open dialogue with the Ambassador to discuss the challenges we face as a result of global challenges and their impact on the economy and the region, and how to deal with them. A session was then held with the leaders of the community change-makers and a number of beneficiaries of the local initiatives implemented through the leadership of community change-makers.
The U.S. Ambassador to Cairo praised the efforts and impact of the Evangelical Coptic Organization for Social Services and the Nidaa Foundation, alongside the impact of the Empowering Girls Project. She highlighted these remarkable achievements, which have been evident through the testimonials of community change-makers and beneficiaries of the locally implemented initiatives.”
